I rain
and you just stand there
the breaking bones
are deafening
and great mountains
slough off their soil
like so much dead skin
I want to curl myself
around the avalanche
ride it down to
the valley of stones
a passing by
of wind and fire
I held my heart
out on a leaf
you were
winter

I love the shape and sound of this one, but most especially I love those last closing lines. Beautiful.
Thank you Anne, i am feeling the pressure of this poem a day thing. Not doing my best work but I am looking at it as an exercise in discipline 🙂
